High Temperature Li-Ion battery cells
High-temperature lithium-ion battery refers to a charging temperature higher than 45 ℃ with a discharge temperature higher than 60 ℃, and has a good storage performance and a long life cycle.
Design Features: Adopting roasting technology mixing with metals for anode material improves the crystal texture stability of LiCoO under high temperature and decreases its oxidability which prevents chemical reaction between electrode and electrolyte. Heat-resistant electrolyte increases the burning point and slows down reaction under high temperature.

1. High-low temperature pressure:
Change the temperature between 80±5℃ and 0℃, and simulate pressure of 5 ~ 7T while the battery is molded under extreme temperature and pressure conditions.
2. Temperature cycle:
The battery should be placed separately at least 6h at the temperature of (75±2)℃ and (-40±2)℃ with a 30min free temperature adjustement. Put the testing battery in (20±5)℃ after thermal shock ten times and evaluate the sealing integrity and internal electric connection under a rapidly changing temperature condition.
A round bar weighting around 9.1kgs with a diameter of 15.8 mm is placed to fall on the battery surface from 61±2.5cm of height. An evaluation is done to assess situations that may cause internal short circuits, such as possible impacts or crushing during shipping.
4. Needle test:
Using a press machine with a steel needle of 3-3.5mm diameter, the battery is punched at 10-40mm/s speed and there should be no smoke, no fire, and no explosion after pulling it out. This test helps evaluate an
internal short circuit condition in the battery
5. Vibration test:
The battery is fixed on a vibrating table, within 15min from 7Hz ~ 200Hz ~ 7Hz to complete a logarithmic frequency sweep sinusoidal vibration, 3h within three-dimensional direction to complete 12 vibrations, no leakage, no exhaust, no disintegration, no rupture, no fire should be observed. The vibration simulation is to evaluate the risks during transportion.
6. Drop test:
The battery is dropped from a falling height of 1.5m free fall on the concrete, the battery should not catch fire, nor be short circuited & no leakage should be observed;
Usage of extreme safety is required while testing all batteries.
